We got started in 2025 when we wanted a more efficient way to capture and organize our ideas.
Our Story
VoiceDraft got started in 2025 when I was reading a book, and I wanted a more efficient way to capture and organize my ideas. Especially when I wanted to note down some quick thoughts while I was reading and stopping to write them down would be a tedious and time-consuming task. I then started to create VoiceDraft firstly as a way to solve my problem, and then as a way to learn more about the technology behind it.
I wanted it to be local first, but I also noticed that I often would record drafts on my phone, and later on I would want to use thme on my computer. So I decided to build a cross-platform app that would allow me to record, transcribe, and edit my drafts on my phone and my computer.
